Smokey Reading Challenge Launch In-Person
The Smokey Reading Challenge is part of the nationwide celebration of Smokey’s 80th birthday. Through partnerships with state and local libraries, the challenge’s goal is to engage youth in reading about wildfire prevention, forests, and natural resource careers, and is designed to complement the 2024 Collaborative Summer Reading Program theme of “Adventure Begins at Your Library” as well as the iREAD Summer Reading Program theme of “Read, Renew, Repeat.”
Join the Nevada State Library, Archives & Public Records along with the Nevada Divison of Forestry, Friday morning, for the launch of the Smokey Reading Challenge!
